How much can you charge as a notary in Alabama?

An Alabama Notary Public is authorized to charge $10 for each signature acknowledged (notarized) and for each notarial act performed. Notaries who travel to meet clients can charge an extra fee or fees to compensate for travel expenses. Alabama does not set limits on what a notary can charge for travel.
